Small choices. Clear statistics.
VOTEGlobe is a self-selected community preference poll. It asks which of two brands someone would choose; it does not measure product quality, purchasing behavior or market share.
One current choice per browser and matchup
A random cookie restores this browser’s preferences. The database keeps one current choice for each browser identifier and matchup. Edits replace earlier choices; undo can remove a choice. Participants are distinct browser identifiers with at least one choice in the selected view, not verified people. Switching browsers or clearing cookies can bypass repeat-vote limits.
Percentages always use the same matchup
A brand’s share equals its current votes divided by the current votes for both brands in that matchup, within the selected country and time window. An empty matchup has unavailable shares, never an invented 50/50 split. Every percentage is shown with the number of votes behind it. Small samples can change quickly. Shares are rounded to one decimal place, so the displayed pair may total 99.9% or 100.1%. Category counts exclude country matchups whose small samples are hidden.
Country differences are percentage-point gaps between the selected country share and the worldwide share for the same brand, matchup and time window. The worldwide group includes that country. These are descriptive comparisons, not tests of statistical significance.
Country sharing is optional
Countries are self-reported and are not verified residence or nationality. The worldwide view includes choices without a shared country. Country breakdowns require at least five participating browsers per matchup in the chosen window. Daily country buckets below five are hidden. Map markers use country centers and represent aggregate groups; they never show individual locations.
What’s featured and what’s popular?
The catalog contains 262 curated comparisons covering 459 brands and product names. Featured order is editorial: familiar, recognizable comparisons appear early. It is not a measured ranking of worldwide brand popularity. Most voted sorts by actual votes in the worldwide, all-time view. Close contests require at least ten votes and are sorted by the smallest difference in preference shares.
Card positions are randomized for each page session to reduce consistent left/right placement bias. Comparisons can involve brands with a common parent company, different price points, geographic availability or different product ranges. The question is personal preference, not a claim that the products are identical.
Time windows, edits and live updates
All-time includes current choices since this brand poll began. The other windows use the most recent creation or edit time. Repeating the same choice does not move its timestamp. Daily charts group current choices by their latest edit date in UTC; an edit replaces the earlier observation. Dashboard refreshes run every five seconds while the page is visible.
Totals count votes across matchups separately from participating browsers. One participant can answer many matchups. Exported CSV files include the chosen filters and retrieval time. We do not insert demonstration votes into public statistics or weight the sample to a wider population.
Your own perspective
My picks compares your choices with the majority only in matchups with at least ten votes. A tied matchup counts either choice as agreement. The score describes those comparisons and is not a personality assessment. You can change, export or delete your brand choices.
